The Day After.
Any tips for recovery? Yes!
I am pretty sure you know the day after, hangover day or whatever they call this ‘bad’ day. I used to know it.. I need to say I stopped with partying and celebrating weekends (especially fridays) almost a year ago, so I haven’t had a ‘Day After’ in a while… BUT I know tips and tricks how to cure hangover and to feel better after a awesome night.
First and most important thing is WATER. After drinking (way) too much, your body is dehydrated and you need liquid. Alcohol is a diuretic and can cause dehydration.
Coffee? Well, when it comes to coffee it’s a complicated thing… Caffeine can both treat AND cause headaches & migraines. So I guess this is a personal preference. But if you do down a cup, be sure to drink water too (caffeine causes dehydration) .
Toast/Crackers/Grissini -maybe this should be your breakfast or lunch, depending on when you wake up.
Pain medication -If you have a bad headache I would probably suggest to take a pill.
Squeezed lemon -This was my favourite thing in the morning after drinking too much. I don’t know why but squeezed lemon with soda helped me every single time. Maybe you should try it before taking some chemical pills. But the best thing is to prevent the hungover and to drink limited. And the last tip is ALWAYS drink a glass of water with the drink of you choice. The more water you drink to rehydrate before, during and after drinking, the less severe your hangover is likely to be the next morning.
